Undergraduate Catalog Description: Probability and random sampling; distributions of various statistics; statistical procedures, such as estimation of parameters, hypothesis testing, and simple linear regression. Credit not given for both Math 402 and Math 403. Spring semester. Prerequisite: Math 401.Objectives
- Develop a thorough understanding of the concepts and techniques of the fundamental theory of mathematical statistics
- Further develop the ability to apply your knowledge to solve problems
- (Further) develop skills for working effectively with others on mathematics problems
